Outfit Diaries: No.1

Introducing a new 'series', the Outfit Diaries! Although I have been enjoying putting together looks and sharing some of my favorites from brands' latest collections, most of my wardrobe is comprised of clothing I have owned for years. So, today I'm focusing on drawing inspiration from my closet and sharing the outfits I typically wear. My original intention for this post was to capture a week of outfits to give the most realistic sense of what I wear on a day-to-day basis. However, due to forgetfulness, I never managed to capture seven consecutive days, so the result is a few looks from the last two weeks in October.

As this series progresses, you'll likely see some of the same pieces more than once. I tend to wear my favorite items often and make the most of my wardrobe by continuously trying to create new outfits. We all have moments when we feel like there is nothing to wear, but usually, the issue isn't that we don't have any clothes, it's just that we don't know how to restyle what we already own.

I hope you enjoy the first installment of the Outfit Diaries, and I look forward to sharing more of my outfits in the future!

OCTOBER 14:

I spent most of the day studying in one of the student centers, so I just threw on all of my most worn items and called it a day.

OCTOBER 15:

We hit a bit of a warm spell in mid-October, so I was able to get away with shorts and a long-sleeved T-shirt. At some point in the day, I got cold and threw on the same sweater from the day before (probably the most worn item in my closet).

OCTOBER 18:

I spend most of my days inside wearing slippers, and on this day I never changed out of them.

OCTOBER 19:

This was the first day in October that felt cold enough to wear tall boots and a vest. I took full advantage of the fall-like weather to channel my inner New Englander!

OCTOBER 20:

...and now it's back to being in short sleeves.

OCTOBER 23:

This is the warm(er) weather version of my uninspired outfits. It was a stressful school week, which made mornings a struggle. As usual, I split my time between the student center and downstairs at the dining room table.

OCTOBER 27:

This is definitely one of my favorite outfits from this month. Unfortunately, it was a situation of being "all dressed up with nowhere to go" (other than Zoom).

OCTOBER 28:

Again, I spent most of the day inside (and in slippers), but I did manage to find a spot outside to eat lunch and study for a couple of hours.
