Fall 2021 Capsule Wardrobe

Happy first day of fall!

In celebration of the official start of the new season, here is my 2021 Fall Capsule Wardrobe!

As always, when curating a capsule collection, I look for trendless pieces that can be mixed and matched to minimize the number of “I don’t know what to wear days”. A capsule wardrobe will look different for everybody, depending on personal preferences. For me, building a capsule wardrobe means starting with the items I wear the most –striped tops, button-downs, jeans, and ballet flats– and filling in the gaps with other pieces to accommodate weather fluctuations and various occasions.

While spring may be my favorite season, I look forward to autumnal fashion the most. I love when the weather is cool enough for long sleeves and layering but still too warm to warrant a heavy coat. Not to mention, the fall season gives me a chance to delve into my collection of neutrals and shamelessly attempt to emulate the French girl style. Fortunately for me, the preppy look is back in fashion, meaning there is an abundance of blazers, ballets flats, loafers, and collared shirts to choose from!

Style the Capsule:

Here are some of the ways I would style this capsule wardrobe! Each piece can be dressed up or down and mixed and matched for an effortlessly styled look!
